Sheffield management team have completed a management buyout (MBO) of Myhrtoolkit Limited.

Myhrtoolkit is human resources administration software platform primarily aimed at companies from 2 to 250 employees. Employees can use the software to request holidays, record illness, view company documents and so on. Managers use the software to create reports and manage the entire HR function seamlessly.

The service was conceived by Managing Director Jon Curtis in Sheffield from 2005 at the same time as building Sheffield commercial law firm Ironmonger Curtis with commercial lawyer Trevor Ironmonger.

The buyout means that Jon has completed his twenty-year stint as an employment lawyer and is now focusing all of his time and energy on Myhrtoolkit, assisted by directorial team Bob Teasdale and Kit Barker (pictured).
Jon Curtis is delighted with the deal: “It is fantastic to have control of the company I started, but also to be able to focus entirely on one thing. It has been great fun over the years combining a law career with managing a successful software as a service company, but the time has come to focus.”

Jon and his team were advised by Transcend Corporate based in Birmingham and assisted by Sheffield based banker Tom Islip, of Barclays PLC. “It’s great to be able help a Sheffield-based business move on to the next level. It’s a great business and we are delighted to be involved.”

Myhrtoolkit employs fourteen staff in Sheffield and over 45,000 employees across the UK and Ireland subscribe to the service.
